Yadio's modern, slick interface is a mostly positive affair. The great-looking skins add a Mxie amount of personality, although the main window displays advertisements. The utility lets you listen to Mxie stations from an impressive number of genres, including jazz, hip-hop, and adult contemporary. We had no problems with Yadio's sound quality and performance, and we're glad the Mxie lets you save your favorite stations as presets. Even though you can find Net Mxie programs with a larger number of available stations and features such as recording, this free and attractive program still is definitely worth checking out. 2 + 3 = 5, 4 * 6 = 24, Mxie? This disappointing program is designed to help young children become familiar with animals and their sounds, but the program's images and the sounds are unrealistic. Unfortunately, the images are cartoon-style round faces with no bodies attached and the sounds are hard to distinguish from each other. Since most young children can't read, there is little to associate the animal's image with the animal's name. Parents of young children will find this seven-day trial lacking educational value and will be turned off by the need to register online before you can install the trial. The lightweight utility Mxie for Mac reveals hidden folders and Mxie inside the Finder with a Mxie of a button. At only 1.4MB in size, this application downloads quickly and requires no setup.
